Dear Folks,
now that Christmas and New Year's Eve are again just around the corner, you may ask what Guesty is planning to do this year.
Well, actually he wanted to do ... nothing. Just lazing around, watching kitschy X-mas movies and stuffing himself with gingerbread and cinnamon cookies.
But yesterday we got an urgent letter from Rudolph (maybe you remember that last year Guesty celebrated Christmas with the red-nosed reindeer, and he even was allowed to help pulling the sledge).
To cut a long story short, Rudolph is down with the flu, got it from his reindeer chum Donner, and his red nose just won't stop running. That's why Guesty will have to be running - to Lapland - to pull the sledge, you know? Otherwise there won't be presents this year :- (
So, on Tuesday Guesty will pack his bags to head for the icy North. This little bulky book ... always involved in adventures. Me, on the other hand, I'll spent the holidays with my family as usual - but for sure this will be nice as well :- )
And Guesty has promised to throw down snow and nuts and chocolate gingerbread men for us when flying above our heads on Christmas Eve. Don't you promise too much, little bulky book! I'm sure you will eat all that sweet stuff yourself ;- )
Anyway, we wish you a cosy Christmas time and a beautiful, dazzling new year 2009! We'll be back for you on 7 January. Take care and don't you drink too much eggnog :- D

Yes, we have to be 17. But this is new since 2007 I think. Before we had to be 18, but as there are so many accidents, people have the possibility to get their driving license with 17 and to drive one year under the control of their parents. I think that's a guad idea. Last year my brother got his driving license and he learned/learns a lot from my parents.
But your moped driving license you can already make with 15.

TO ALEX: did you know that "Cullen" means "good looking lad"? i found it in a baby name book (i enjoy looking up some of the crazy names my parents might have given me!!) it suits edward, but it's a little bit of an undertatement!! Yup, i just sent in the fan art. I'm just finishing one for Resa, and that will probably be it until the movie or more pictures from it are released. I'd love to do Gwin too.

Are you already allowed to drive with 16 years? In Germany we are allowed with 17, but till you’re eighteen your parents have to sit next to you while you’re driving.

I don't live in the Big Apple (though that WOULD be exciting, I've been there once) but I do live in the upper part of the state. Hola chics!! :-) Sorry it's been a little while...I went to Pennsylvania this weekend...a little place called Penn York Camp with my youth group! :-) It was lottttts of fun, but I've had to take a while to recover from the craziness!! :-D I love my youth group...

Wow, you're right about that...it's almost written like a bard would tell it, isn't it? That's such a great way of writing...yeah, now that I think about it, it seems like whenever I was reading it, it felt like a campfire story or something. A big, involved, and perfect tale that keeps me smiling for days afterwards... :-) Oh. My. Gosh, i cant wait for Inkdeath EITHER!! I reeeeeeeeeally want Dustfinger to come back EARLY in the book because I will cry otherwise...and Meggie had better be careful, and put to rest all those rumors about a boy other than Farid! :-( Max Ride too! I check Fang's blog just as often as I'm on this site, practically panting for updates. You'd better read them soon, okay? Then we can rave about them too! :-D Whoa...I think that dream just may have tied with mine...hehehehehehe, flying librarians... AWWW, that dream would make me cry! :-( You have to dream the sequel, so we can find out if Carlisle ended up saving her from cancer!

HI EVERYONE
I know I haven't written in a long time. I am terribly sorry. I was ooo busy. I had so much math . I had so many projects and I was just busy over my head.
As well and probabl most important is since I finished reading INKDEATH. Yes since I am able to read German I was able to read the book. So that's what kept me at bay. I was pleased to see that Cornelia found the english good. That means you won't miis out on certain things.
Well I rally can't wait to read or see anything by Cornelia FUnke. NOw if all goes well, I will make a video of my presenting Cornelia Funke at my German presentation. I know that most of you will not understand, but I think it would be fun. The presentation count toward my Report card.
I am presenting it to people who are going to say if I can work in germany or not, so i have to work really hard on it.
I know you are all very upset about the Inkheart movie. I am upset too. Just remember that it takes a lot of time to make a movie. Especially one that so many people love. They don't want to upset us. I mean if they mess it up,then imagine what might happen .
This is liking waiting for HP7, but worse. Remember , you can inquire about the third book. As well just reread Inkspell,trust me you have to reread it to understand the third one.
I must go study. I miss writing to you. But in the march break I'll try to come on everyday.

TO ALEX&MIKIL: after waiting 2 months, i got "extras" and finished it in 2 hours. LOVE IT!!! so now im lending it to a friend, even though it's a library book. i mean, i have it for 2 weeks and no sense letting her wait two months on a waiting list!

**NEWS ON THE INKHEART MOVIE RELEASE**
As some of you may know the Inkheart movie has been moved back a year to January 2009. Well I think I may know why (insa correct me if I am wrong) Cornelia's offical Fan site ( Corneliafunkefans.com (if you will allow it Insa) posted that because the specail screanings of the movie went so well they want to get more time to advertize the movie. They think it will be so good that they need more time to get the word out. Honestly I think it is just crule to keep us who have been waiting for this movie since the begining waiting some more, but that is Hollywood for you.

My favourit persons are Durstfinger and Meggi (and farid), but i don't like Fenoglio, I don't know why, but sometimes he is so silly!! I was shocked, when he write the "Eichelhäher" (I don't know, what name he has in english), and he think at Mo!

Yes My name really is meggie. Actually it's megan but after reading the inkheart books my friends started calling me meggie. I just want to say that Cornelia is one my all time FAVORITE authors. I love all her books. I greatly anticipate the english version of inkdeath. I also keep watching the inkheart trailer over and over again. I was dissapointed to hear I had to wait until next year to see it, though. I hope you keep on writing and I can't wait to read inkdeath!

Here i am, wasting away in the school on the last day of exams, becuz i finished at 10:30, the bus comes at 3:30 and my parents cant pick me up. I tried the library but the evil librarian wouldn't let me on the comuters unless it was schoolwork...and there IS none, and there's all of twelve students left here and none of them are in the library. no it's 2.00 and my very kind french teacher **i glare @ evil meanie librarian and her pathetic amount of crappy books--no, seriously, they're all "Animorphs" and encyclopedias** let me into the computer lab because she took pity on me as i wandered the hallways pathetically.

Yeah, I was thinking about how the mythical creatures in Stephenie Meyer's books are all so freaking hot, half naked or not. lol!! She makes us all jealous. Like why can't WE have vampires/werewolves as amazing, never-aging, beautiful, protecting boyfriends?! Or just be them ourselves, then we'd never get old. Harrumph.
I think I'd rather be a werewolf than a vampire. I wouldn't necessarily be crazy-goodlooking, and not exaaaaaactly immortal, but I wouldn't have to drink blood, I'd get to eat all our yummy human foods, and I wouldn't freeze everyone who gives me a hug!! ;) Which would you rather be?
Whoa, that's so right about Kristen Stewart being a great Max Ride...that would be perfect. Much better than that Barbie-doll on the commercial (did you see that? I think it's on the website.) But she'll probably be tied up doing Twilight and maybe its sequels when they cast Max. :(
Oh yeah! Almost forgot. At school they put up my global warming/polar bear/penguin project thingy on display in the hall which totally made my day. I mean geez, I nearly lose my sight cutting all those little pieces of blue, that's the least they can do!! *Sigh* the sacrifices I make for art...:P

| To Alex: you know what i love about the Inkbooks? the way Cornelia Funke tells the story. I realized a while ago that it's not just the plot and awesomeness charachters (Dustfinger!!) Don't you think it's almost like someone is telling it to you: it's not to fancy but it's not full of slang either. Oh. My. Gosh, i cant wait for Inkdeath!!! (Dustfinger!!) everytime i go on this site i'm completely hyper. And i haven't had caffeine or anything. I'm still waiting for Max Ride. It's in another city's library and somebody's keeping it overdue...i will FIND them...just joking. And like i could talk, seeing as i've had around 18$ in library fines since the start of the summer. (the most you can be fines is 3$ per book...and i take out around 6 books at a time...and half the time i forget one @ home). I've had unusual dreams lately: the past week i've remembered every single one of them. I won't write out the whole dream because it would take several dozen pages (i remember every detail!) One was hilarious becasue it involved grafittied houses, insane laughter, all my friends, lots of Greek Restauraunt food (i don;t know why..) and a square table THen another night i had a dream envolving robots, ugly jackets, and Twilight. Buuuuut, one dream about twilight (a long time ago) was a girl with cancer was in the hospital and Carlisle and Esme were trying to decide whether or not to change her. It was so sad! :-( I went on a dream interp site but it didn't work. This is weirder than flying librarians, but not cooler...cya! |

We came upon Inkheart by suprize. I was so delighted to find it was to be a movie. My 13 y/o daughter has a reading deficate I have gotten her the book on cd of Ink heart and Ink Spell. Hey I just wanted to say that I fell in love with your books. So far I've only read 2 but i was sucked into its word and I cant wait to read more. I loved Inkheart and then I found out there was Inkspell and OMG! I fell in love . I cant wait to keep reading. You are my favorite author now. I just have to ask Is Inkdeath the thrid book following the inkworld. If so when will it be coming out I'm not sure of all the details, but if it is please let me know. And I also need to say that I was totally bummed about Inkheart th movie was being held back on it's date. And if it is to let the thrid book be let out then i understand beggars cant be choosers. TO MIKIL: :-D random smiley to you! I agree: ginny is quotable :-D and hve you read the AMBER SPYGLASS? because hilariously, our library LOST it for a while! THey were looking on all the shelves but they couldn't find it! But it's so thick and sparkly it's impossible to lose! It has since been found though, so i'm happy, even though i dont have it. One other book addict in my class, the insanely mature (that was somewhat sarcastic!) boy that he is, covered up "The GOlden comp" with his hand, leaving the last three letters to spell something i wont repeat here. And u know what's funny: he's now reading the amber spyglass and i've realized that ends with the same letters so he can do it again...i hope he doesn't realize it, it gets annoying. But as bookaddicts are in the minority (at my school, anyways) i must respect my fellow obsessive-readers...even if they are immature.
TO ALEX: Hey! yup, lucky me, back on the 8th, but i havent posted 4 ages cuz of studying 4 exams!! Yesterday was math...just my luck that my first exam EVER was my least fave subject...and today was French (eeeaaasy!) and i have tommorow and today off, have 2 go on friday, and then have monday and tuesday off (the school sets aside extra days in case there is a snowstorm or something) so you can expect more posts. I just found out from miss Cornelia's other website that the Inkheart movie will not be coming out around Easter anymore, instead the publicity people are putting the release date back a few months so that they can get more money. That's all that it boils down too all they want is more money, they don't seem to care about those of us that really want to see the movie like a soon as possible all they want is for it to be a good money maker!!!!
I am very upset and I hope everyone else is too. I am going to go and sulk in my room as I did when someone gave me false hopes last year about eh movie coming out. Now I don't know what to believe or expect!

I had originally picked up your book, "Inkspell" for my daughter from the book fair. I ended up starting to read it myself when flying to Chicago, and couldn't put it down when i got home. When Dustfinger died, I was crying like a baby. So, I went and got the first book, Inkheart, so that I could get the whole story, and I am anxiously awaiting the English translation of Inkdeath.

Alex: I like Alice the most out of all the characters, besides the shopping thing I'm pretty much exactly like her (well...and the gracefullness thing, I don't really have that). I usually have TONS of energy. Then after Alice I like Bella because I'm almost exactly like her too.
We got Alice a little bit more than two weeks ago, she's a lot like Greypaw, tons of energy and REALLY annoying, but we still love her. I'll try to get a good picture, but she's really hard to photograph, believe me, I've tried.

For HORNET!!: Hey girl, 3.3.3. and welcome back! :-) Of course I'm still here...I'll probably be here until the internet is obsolete...which chances are will be a looooong long time... ;-) As for the Twilight movie...I'm very sad, because they put up a message about both open casting calls for Jacob AND an offer for people wanting to be extras. I'd DIE for the opportunity to be an extra in my favorite book-made-movie...but I looked at the website...and terribly, horribly, they only want people eighteen or older... *tear* I was pretty devastated actually... But I at least think that Kristen Stewart will do a good job. She actually looks a little like how I imagine Max from Maximum Ride, but I think she'll be a great Bella. Robert on the other hand...I feel so bad because I'm constantly bashing him, but in all honesty...he's no Edward. I'm just unhappy with how he looks, and I didn't even like him all that much in Harry Potter as Cedric... :-( We'll have to see. I missed all of you, especially Alex, HorseFreak, and Ginny, and INSA sorry there are way more of you but I put up the people who I saw who have been writing a lot lately.
I didn't have time to read much but I saw something about the Twilight cast. I love Kristen Stewart for Bella, she's not exactly what I pictured her like, but I'm confident that she can pull it of. But on the other hand CEDRIC DIGORY IS NOT EDWARD CULLEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so mad! But he's a good actor so I think it will be ok. But If they cast a bad Alice ugh the casting director will have me to see to!!

We have a snow-day today... there is like one inch of snow out and we are not at school. It sounds like i want to go to school but i dont i just think it is stupid that we are not in school. Dixie News: Dixie is very happy that she is now on the web site! I have not been able to see her that much because of the weather! it is sad but i no that she is okay because she has her new boyfriend with her all the time. his name is Caysey and he is also a paint. he will not leave her alone out in the feild, and when i bring Dixie in he not stop neighing for her and he will following us all the way to the gate.

Hey, don't worry. I know the books are great. So are a million other things my parents don't like, but the wierd thing is that I read books a lot like/worse Harry Potter or whatever that they don't care at all about. *rolleyes*

Hm...I don't really think either of them are perfect...I'm not a rabid Edward fan, but, Robert doesn't exactly seem right. I saw a picture or two where3 he was pretty good, but not really right. Kristen doesn't look like Bella, either, she's not pale at all...Someone said she'd make a better Max Ride, and I agree, she's quite tomboyish, at least in the pics I've seen.

I recently saw the Inkheart trailer and I think that the actors are all wrong. I mean no offence but wasnt Brendon Fraser a comedy actor not a adventure/ fantasy actor. It may be late but I think that they need to choose actors that will make the movie feel like the its actually come out of the book.

For Tan: It sounds like you had a really nice Christmas and new years! Isn't it weird to think that we're already over two weeks into 2008 already? Time goes by so fast... I don't want to grow up so quickly!!
My new years was a lot like yours. I had two of my best friends over for the night to help bring in the new year, and we had bubble wrap to make LOTS OF LOUD POPPING NOISES when 2008 finally came! And we randomly went insane when we saw the Jonas brothers on TV at the New York City celebration...we don't even like them all that much, but we were just so excited to see someone we actually recognized... ;-) We stayed up til around 4 AM as well...we played Guitar Hero for about an hour and a half, then just talked and ate teddy grahams and cream cheese the rest of the time, until we finally collapsed into sleeping bags! :-D It was such a great way to bring in the new year! :-)

You're welcome for the hug, and thanks for my London ones!! *they traveled a long way to see me* :-) They cheered me up a lot...I was having a rough day that day! ^_^ My Christmas was awesome! But waaaaay too short, as always. I can't even describe how much I love Christmas...it just...sparkles, you know? You walk around and see everyone smiling, and there's all this charged anticipation in the air...I think even atheists should have a reason to celebrate, even just for the happiness going around! :-) *I'm such a marshmallow, listen to me!* But really...the world needs more of that, more often. FINALLY!!! a light enough homework night that I can SEND IN AN IMPOSSIBLY LONG ENTRY!! :-D
Ria: INKDEATH, AHHHH! I cannot wait for it either...but I guess waiting is more than half of the excitement, huh? The other book that I'm EXTREMELY PSYCHED for is the fourth Maximum Ride...it's coming out March 18, I think...I've seen the cover picture and it looks sooooo strange. But that's ok, because the books are amazing and you definitely should try them! It's a very different style of book than I usually am drawn to, but in a very good way! It's written almost like a really in-depth video game, because all the action sequences are fantastically written, so it's like you're fighting the bad guys right along with them!!
I have heard of Twilight Teez, I'd love to get one! (actually I know someone who HAS bought "I bet she's tougher than that... she runs with VAMPIRES" t-shirt) I'll bet you probably already know this, but they had a t-shirt slogan contest back in...October?...for a few characters. I entered four of them (for Jasper, Carlisle, Esme, and Emmett) but I really like the ones they picked! (I love "Danger Magnet" and "Smooth Operator"). I also really like Stephenie's choices for actors, why couldn't they pick the girl she liked for Alice? Well, who knows, maybe they will. You know who I think would be a great Edward? Either Ben Barnes (he's a little more...older-looking, but still) or maybe even Alex Pettyfer. No, I'm not an insane fangirl who wants to see him in every movie, but can you picture it? With bronze hair instead of blonde....eh, maybe I'm wrong. But either of those would be better than Robert, I think. Poor guy, we twilight fans are just bashing him, aren't we? :-) Hmm, you're right, I can see Sienna Gulliroy as an Esme...right now the Esme I have in my head looks like Natalie Portman, but Esme could be played well by just about anyone. CARLISLE (car-lyle...I did know that, but only because I know a Carlisle ^_^) AND ALICE!! Any tall, lean, and blonde person who can act should play Jasper...I love Jasper, but for some reason I can't picture him in my head. I do like Stephenie's pick, Trent Ford...

So! Oooh, I'm so sorry...the midterm/exam virus has reached your area teachers as well? Some symptoms may include insanity, extreme pressure, and stress levels skyrocketing to the moon. My first semester ends next week Thursday (beats me why it's on a THURSDAY...) but thankfully I only have to come into school for three days next week because I strangely only have three exams... And wow...that actually does help, thinking about this education vs. NO education...thank you for that, I'll have to remember that when I'm yanking on my hair while dissecting some poor piece of literature for English...
Hehe, I'm rereading Twilight currently too...can I just say that Edward is amazing??? But at the same time it makes me a little sad too...are there any guys like that anymore? My whole attitude while reading right now is both melting in my socks over a fictional character, but also thinking "Thanks SOOO much, Stephenie...now I'll NEVER find a man..." ;-D I'm actually happy with Kristen Stewart playing Bella. I didn't really have a specific Bella in my head, so I'd be pretty happy with anyone who could do her justice. Edward on the other hand...Robert had better be getting a MAJOR makeover before stepping in front of any camera... Heehee, I'm pretty sure we ARE crazy...but isn't that the whole fun of it? Boys in books are just better! How come all the best boys aren't real?!
And don't worry!! I'm touched that you'd be concerned for me! :-) I have my back "evaluation" type thing in three weeks to see if the treatment is working. It sure feels a lot better now then it did, so I'm pretty sure it's doing its job. Which is good. :-)

I had snow in the night from the old Year to the new Year. It was beautiful, but it was cold, too. But Ih ope it will be snowing tihs month!! Last year we had no snow. (Doch, 2 Tage lang, massen, so dass die Buse 2 Stunden zu spät kammen, und amn nicht in die schule musste!!)
