Dear Guesty chums,

in the weeks before our late summer break (19 September through 13 October), Guesty and I will have to do some brainstorming on the upcoming revision of Cornelia’s website. Therefore, the following weekends Guesty will not get up from his "thinking sofa":

from 22 through 24 August

and

from 5 through 8 September

So please send your entries before or after these breaks.
Don't be too crestfallen. There are still so many things to do without Guesty: you can continue working on your stories, read the Jungle Book to your pet tigers and wolves, or lie in the moss and chew fir cones together with the Ents ...

As for the new section replacing the chat, I will give away some news before our summer break in September. Word of Honor!

Hugs!

Insa :- )

Hey,

I just wanted to ask if Inkdeath came out in Canada yet? I thought it was coming out in October, but now people are saying they have copies already in english. Is this possible or not?

I wish the guestbook and Insa a nice break from all of us writers. Thank you for letting us write in the guestbook, and for that Guesty , you can relax and get some book spine massaging.

If any of you are interested and speak German, there is going to be a radio show broadcasted at 9:00 on radio x. You can go to live feed and here it, I hope you do.

A wonderful summer to you all!

Sprotte

*** Hi Sprotte, maybe some booksellers already got copies, but the book premiere won't be before October. Insa :- )
P.S.: book spine massage - hahaaaaaaaaaaa, great ***

Hi everyone! I haven't had time to write with high school, homework, cousins, and getting up at 5:45 in the morning. I LOVE high school (except P.E.)! Our English teacher is really funny, only his sense of humor is dry, so it's a little hard to tell whether he's being serious or funny. Oh yeah, one of the teachers, Mrs. Bacon (I don't have her for classes), had a baby boy over the weekend. It was announced during my Geometry class and some of the sophomores started joking about calling the baby "Bacon Bit". And one of my friends said they should've named him Chris P. Bacon. I kid you not!

Dustfinger2.0:
I've been reading a series of books (dunno what they're called) by Donita K. Paul. Don't read them if you're not religious, though, because they're allegories (they have a deeper meaning). The first book is called "Dragonspell". If you're a girl, I'd recommend Tamora Pierce. Her writing is aimed towards girls. Hope that helps!
Oh, is anyone else angry about the release date of the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" movie? They changed it to JULY 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!! How could they?! I'd like to hear someone else's views on this.
See ya soon,
Ellen

Dear Sarah,

I would love to tell you Farid's fate, but I'm afraid that someone would wack me over the back of my skull if I did. Besides, I'd hate to ruin any surprises. =)

Olivia,
There is a very good trilogy written by David B. Coe, It's called The LonTobyn Chronicles. The first book is called Children Of Amarid, the second is called, The Outlanders, and the third is called, Eagle-Sage. They have to do with owls and hawks and magic, they are very exciting and fast paced. You should check them out, you'll thank me.

Heya Insa,

I just thought id say hey as i havent posted in the guestbook for a while (You have more than enough people posting to keep you occupied im sure!). But i thought id post anyway to say that i think you do a wonderful job looking after the site and replying to all your guestbook buddies :)

I also wanted to ask is the premiere for Inkheart going to be 2008 or 2009? I know these things chnage often and i can never quite keep up!

Also i just wanted to ask (im not sure if it has been asked before) but if you have heard of the Twilight series? the film is going to be out in November, they are truly amazing, but a completely different style and genre to Inkheart. And are YA fantasy fiction. Also does Cornelia read in German or English, or does she not mind?

Lots of questions sorry! anyway, i hope you enjoy your break, its well deserved!!

*** First of all, thank you so much for the nice compliment ♥
As for the Inkheart movie, I don't know if the British premiere will be in 2008 or 2009. The German premiere will be in December, the US premiere will be in January. Sorry, that's all I know so far :- (
As to Twilight, of course I've heard of the series. Everyone here in the guestbook is crazy about the books. Third question: Cornelia looooooves to read English books. Warmest wishes from Germany! Insa ***

Hey there! This is for Insa, I was just wondering if you had any suggestions for a publisher I could send my novella into. I'm getting my friend Mrs. Frasier to edit it--she writes for the Pittsburgh Tribune Frasier--and she said to ask around for a good publisher.

I'm considering Chicken House, but I'm not sure yet. ;D Thanks for the constant support,

Dear Cornelia,

I loved Inkheart! It was an awesome book and I can't wait to read the next book. I can't wait until the movie comes out although I know it won't be as good as the book. My favourite character was Meggie although I really liked Dustfinger and Gwin.

Dear Cornelia,

My sister works at a local library and had a wonderful co-worker lend an advance copy of Inkdeath to her for a couple of weeks. My sister brought it home, handed it to me, and said: "Have at it." with a smile on her face. And then I disappeared behind the cover of the book and didn't come out for about five days. I know I can't leak any info about it, but I will say that my whole self was shining for days after reading it! The conclusion to your trilogy is absolutely stunning...I wish that I too were and inkweaver, so that I might say how much your book meant and still means to me. Thank you so much for writing the Inkheart Trilogy!
